I love this website but I want to propose an idea for this forum

I can read and write English but I'm not a native English speaker. I'd like this place to be more like relaxing place where I can comfortably read what other moms' saying in my 1st language. I saw the language button at the top-right corner of the website. Could you also put the same button on this Lounge chat and my editing/writing page? I want to write things with my language and when I finish writing, I want to simply translate it to English without visiting Google Translate or Gemini. Just an idea.

Thank you so much for this suggestion — this is exactly the kind of feedback that helps make this space better. 💛 You're right, the language button currently only works on some pages. I'll extend it to the Lounge and the writing page soon. The "write in your language, then translate to English with one click" idea is lovely too — I'd like to build that in. This community is for all moms on the island, whatever language feels like home. I'll post an update here when these are ready!

Anyone know a tutoring center for the stuyesant test?

My daughter goes to a test prep program at NYCGPrep. She’s learning a lot which is great as she’s going to be in 8th grade and taking the test soon. But the school she goes to is in Chelsea near FIT. Can anyone recommend a closer place? maybe in UES or even in Queens?

Anyone know what happened to Graduate? (the hotel in RI)

Hi, I remember there was a hotel with a nice rooftop near the Tram / Cornell Tech. I think it was called "Graduate" if my memory serves me right. I was searching for a hotel but it doesn't show up on Google Map. Do you know what's going on? Are they permanently closed?
